The "Rollgate" tailgate spreader is designed for versatility, accuracy and convenience. Tailgates can be used on any standard 7'6" or 8' wide dump truck body. It will uniformly spread salt, sand cinders, gravel, slag or any material that is up to one inch in diameter. The spreading depth is controlled hydraulically by a lever on the keyboard.
A sectionalized flexible keyboard gives a metered spread that uniformly dispenses material to any depth up to three inches. Since oversized objects are allowed through, hand patching and streaks in seal-coating are eliminated. Material in the dump truck can be emptied over the top of the spreader without having to unhook the spreader from the truck.

Single spinner hydraulic tailgate spreader with bottom door for quick clean out.
The operator has complete control over the hydraulic motors that regulate material flow and spinner patterns from the cab. Similar to TG-500 with these exceptions:
- To set the spinner, two bolts must be loosened and the spinner slides right or left through the opening.
- Model TG-696 has a trough door which can be unlatched and dropped back, allowing an obstruction to be removed.
- Has quick hanger brackets which allow the operator to remove the entire unit by simply pulling two pins.
